Hi and welcome to Music Teachers Online.
My name is Matt and I have been running this website since it began in 2000. The purpose of the website has always been to promote music teachers online.
For many teachers and small businesses, the cost of a good quality website is unaffordable. Music Teachers Online provides music teachers the opportunity to advertise their services where the customers are looking. Members have control of what is displayed, and can easily update their details online.
A number of other aspects of web promotion are taken care of such as security and privacy. All content is stored in a password-protected database, member passwords are encrypted and email addresses are never displayed on the website. Street addresses and phone numbers can also be hidden if required.

About Me
Raised in Western Victoria, I was taught drums by Barry Galbraith at Brauer College in Warrnambool. On completion of secondary schooling I moved to Melbourne to complete a Bachelor of Music Degree at Latrobe University.
Since then I have taught drums and percussion in many Melbourne schools. I directed the Australian Youth Band Drumline and have lead primary school percussion workshops on behalf of local council on a number of occasions.
As a drummer I have performed in a variety ensembles and venues. Performance highlights have included:
- Choir of Hard Knocks with Jimmy Barnes at the Sydney Opera House
- Opening Ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games
- Australian Youth Band on the Great Wall of China
I have recently moved to the United Kingdom, where I continue to develop the Music Teachers Online website.
