Ade Vincent is a versatile songwriter and composer with professional experience in many styles and genres.
He has written songs for various Melbourne ensembles, most notably for Melbourne duo The Tiger and Me, which he founded in 2007. The duo has produced and released a six-track EP which has received substantial airplay on community radio stations across the country, as well as generating interest on Australia’s primary music radio station, Triple J, which has interviewed the duo, broadcast several of their songs, and featured them in Jmag as one of ‘six of the best’ roots bands on Triple J unearthed. On the back of the buzz generated by their first year, the band toured Canada in 2008 after being invited to perform at two major festivals in Vancouver and Toronto. They are currently preparing to record a debut album while continuing to perform regularly in Melbourne and interstate.
In 2006 he was awarded a top ten placing in the Australian Songwriters’ Association competition for his song ‘Follow’, with the band The Great Fire of London.
He has also written songs for Half-Cut Thief and Last Five Days.
