Aidan was born in Western Australia and lived in Perth until 2012. He moved to Melbourne for three years on scholarship at the prestigious Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM), studying piano with Timothy Young. He has returned to Perth in 2015 to teach piano at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA)
In December 2014 Aidan was a first prize winner in the ANAM Chamber Music Competition, and one of his groups also won the 3mbs Listeners Choice prize in the same final. Earlier last year Aidan was invited to Perth to perform as soloist with the WA Youth Orchestra in the Perth Concert Hall, and also appeared in May playing a concerto with the Faith Court Orchestra of WAAPA. In 2013 he performed a Mozart concerto with Orchestra Victoria, and has twice been a finalist in the ANAM Concerto Competition, performing on each occasion with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed concerti with the Swan Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra of WA. Aidan was chosen to represent Australia at the Shanghai World Expo, performing regularly over a two-week period at the Australian Pavilion.
Aidan completed a Bachelor of Music (Performance) in 2011 at WAAPA, receiving first class honours. He studied piano with Anna Sleptsova. He is a three-time winner of WAAPA’s Warana Concerto Competition, performing on each occasion with the Faith Court Orchestra. He was also a recipient of the Cecelia Daff prize.
