Aleisa began learning the violin at the age of 6, and by age 10 was admitted to the Conservatorium of Music (where she was awarded several scholarships) for private lessons. At 12, Aleisa was recruited for a television guest appearance, where she performed and acted playing a child prodigy violinist on “Rafferty’s Rules”. Shortly after, Aleisa started High School at the Conservatorium High where she spent the next 6 years developing her musical education. At age 13, Aleisa gained her A.MUS.A, and age 16, her L.MUS.A. Aleisa performed solo in several recitals around Australia and also as part of orchestras and chamber groups regularly over the next decade. Between 1998 and 2005, Aleisa taught violin and conducted string groups in several schools around Sydney, including St. Ives North Primary (gifted & talented school).
Aleisa now focuses on teaching students individually in her studio where she has a strong focus on both technique and musicality/expression. Aleisa has over 20 years’ experience and has a proven track record of preparing students for AMEB exams. Aleisa also performs as a 1st violinist in Violet Strings and The Beecroft Orchestra.
