Andrew Chubb, an Australian pianist and composer is also a highly regarded teacher in the in NSW. He has lectured and taught at the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music for 16 years and also operates a private home studio. In addition to teaching piano and composition, his years of experience also as a violinist, violist and musicology and harmony/aural lecturing add to his holistic, organic and diverse approach to pedagogy for students of all levels and stages of development.
Through Andrew Chubb’s teaching, many students of various stages from beginner to AMEB Licentiate Diploma level and have achieved considerable success in developing important musical, technical and ‘thinking’ skills associated with a deep understanding and passion for classical music of all genres. Many of his students have been highly successful in competitions/eisteddfods throughout Sydney and NSW. His students have also studied tertiary music at Monash University, Brisbane and Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
