Learning classical voice can enhance self-confidence as well as prepare you for a wide range of careers, while at the same time, if taught well can help to nature a gifted student. Here are a few areas i will cover along with teach songs and learning appropriate repertoire;

- Before i can effectively teach basic vocal techniques, I will teach students to recognize and correct bad techniques and habits which will hinder their efforts. Beginning with examining their posture. Discussing specific problems with their posture such as slumping, back and neck misalignment, head down or other factors. Then I will have them apply new posture techniques, to aline their body and assist with deep breathing.

- Students will learn to breath more from the diaphragm, the muscles beneath the ribcage, as well as the abdominal muscles, which help to drop the breath right down.

- Other techniques, such as placement, working of the soft pallet, projection, may also be applied with the use of scales, vocalies, breathing warm-ups etc… keeping in mind, this will vary with each student, depend on his or her voice type and abilities.

- Just as important as technique, aural education can make or break all efforts to learn classical music for voice. I will cover the basics for reading music and piano skills, time and key signatures. as well as rhythm. This will assist student while parctising at home and/or learning repertoie.

So that gives a brief look at what may be coverd in a lesson and what services and knowledge I have at hand to provide to my students.
