Quickly becoming one of Australia’s foremost young musicians, Aura Go has performed widely as a soloist, chamber musician and conductor. She has performed at the Melbourne International Arts Festival in 2006 and 2007, and as soloist with the Melbourne and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras in concertos by Beethoven, Rautavaara, Schittke, Gubaidulina and Ross Edwards.
Aura has recorded solo and chamber music recitals for ABC Classic FM, and has achieved success in many of Australia’s biggest competitions, including ABC’s Young Performers Awards (National Finalist in 2002, 2003 and 2006), first prize in the Yamaha Australian Youth Piano Competition, and first prize in the Hephzibah Memorial Competition.
Aura attained her Bachelor of Music Performance degree from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2006, where she was awarded the Agnes Robertson, Dowd Foundation and Dame Elisasbeth Murdoch Scholarships. She then undertook performance studies at the Australian National Academy of Music from 2007. Her teachers have included Max Cooke and Ian Munro.
Aura has a love for teaching, and is available to teach committed students from intermediate level right through to advanced performance.
