Diploma of Contemporary Music
Bee Townsend has worked as a jazz vocalist, musician and voice coach across Melbourne and Adelaide for the past 12 years. Her musical education includes a Diploma of Contemporary Music from the Noarlunga College of Music where she specialised in vocals under the tutelage of Estill Voice Training Practitioner, Naomi Eyers.
Recently, Bee attended the New York Jazz Academy’s Summer Workshop Series where she studied advanced vocal improvisation and small ensemble performance.
Her many years of singing training have included classical voice with Ghillian Sullivan and Meagan Gaffney, and jazz vocals with Charmaine Jones and Tammy Scheffer.
When she is not teaching Bee performs her jazz and cabaret shows at venues around the city, as well as providing her services for private and corporate events. If you wish to see Bee perform you can find her on the roster at Melbourne’s Paris Cat Jazz Club. She also runs the monthly Jazz Jam at the Owl & Cat.
