Brett is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Music (Performance) at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Since giving his first solo public performance at the age of 12, He has performed in many venues all across Sydney, and placed 2nd in the open category of the 2015 Sydney Eisteddfod. Brett was part of the Sydney Conservatorium’s “New Northern Tour” where he shared the stage with Order of Australia medal recipient David Miller, and has learned from the world’s leading guitarists, including David Russell, Manuel Barrueco and Ricardo Gallen, in Spain and Australia. Brett was born into a musical family, and received his first guitar lessons from his father. At aged 11, He began studying Classical Guitar and decided to pursue a career as a Classical Guitarist. After graduating from High School, He studied under world renowned Cuban Guitarist, Marco Tamayo, while also receiving lessons from Raffaele Agostino, Gregory Pikler and Roger Lock, who are amongst Australia’s leading guitarists and teachers. Brett is currently Studying under GFA Winner, Vladimir Gorbach. Having a great passion for flamenco music, Brett regularly accompanies dance classes and has a sound understanding of the rhythmical and technical aspects of the Flamenco guitar. He Studied under Manuel de la Luz in Sevilla, where he also studied accompaniment for singing. Brett is currently studying flamenco guitar under Maestro Paco Serrano.
