Caroline has been teaching the cello for ten years and her students range from preschoolers to students sitting the HSC Music Extension and Conservatorium of Music auditions.
Caroline completed a Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Performance at the Royal Northern College of Music (UK). She then moved to Germany to join the OrchesterZentrum NRW during which time she also worked with the Mannheimer Philharmoniker, Orchester des Hessischen Staatstheaters Wiesbaden and Bayerische Philharmonie.
During her formal training Caroline had the privilege of learning with renowned pedagogues and performers; Gregor Horsch (Principal cellist of Concertgebouw Orchestra), Nicholas Jones (RNCM and Head of Strings Chetam’s School of Music) Susan Blake (Senior Lecturer, Sydney Conservatorium), Julian Smiles (Australia Ensemble) and has performed in masterclasses with soloists such as Maria Kliegel, Natalie Clien and Ralph Kirshbaum.
Caroline also teaches cello at Knox Grammar School, Abbotsleigh and Chatswood High School.
