Bachelor of music performance - Sydney Conservatorium
I completed a Bachelor of Music Performance in piano at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the guidance of Nikolai Evrov. Since then, I have been focusing on piano teaching, instrumental and choral accompaniment.
I have taught the piano at Sydney Grammar Prep School (St.Ives), SCEGGS Darlinghurst and Concordia International School in Shanghai where I also worked as a piano accompanist. My students range from 4 years old to high school and many of them participate in AMEB and ABRSM examinations.
My teaching goal is to give my students a sound technical foundation on the piano and a good understanding of music as this in turn will allow them to enjoy playing the piano and appreciate music.
As an accompanist, I have extensive experience in concerts, music festivals, instrumental (Strings, Woodwind and Brass), HSC and choral accompaniment.
In 2011, I moved to Shanghai to take up an accompaniment position at Concordia International School to work with the distinguished Choral Director, Meg Idekar from the United States. I accompanied the school’s 12 choirs for their daily rehearsals, concerts and music festivals. I was also the official accompanist for any of the school’s musical auditions.
I have recently returned to Australia and am currently accepting new piano students. I am also available to provide piano accompaniment for exams, auditions and concerts.
