Bachelor of Music
Charlotte Ashcroft is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, who has extensive knowledge and experience in performing and pedagogy. She first began her musical studies at the age of five, after which Charlotte was offered a music scholarship at Canterbury College and was nominated Concert Master of the Symphony Orchestra before graduating.
Charlotte is a candidate for a Bachelor of Music in Classical Violin Performance at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University under the skillful mentorship of Alan Smith. She has also proven herself a competent player of piano, guitar, viola, cello and double bass.
With a keen interest in orchestral playing, Charlotte regularly performs with many local orchestras including Ipswich City Orchestra, Queensland Philharmonia Orchestra, and Lord Brisbane’s Imperial Orchestra.
In 2013, Charlotte founded Strings of Gold, where she not only performs but also handles all bookings for weddings, private events, and corporate functions.
In 2012, Charlotte established her music school, Ashcroft Music Centre, providing a music education for local students of all ages. She has received consistently high results on her student’s exams and has seen students to further their studies at a tertiary level. Charlotte eagerly awaits moving Ashcroft Music Centre to the KP Centre in Loganholme in 2016.
Charlotte Ashcroft is highly motivated and looks forward to exploring her performance career through orchestral playing and her business Strings of Gold, while investing in her students at her music education school, Ashcroft Music Centre.
