Christopher Duff is a leading professional flamenco guitarist from Sydney, Australia. Chris studied Classical Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of music and also contemporary music at University of Western Sydney as well as pursuing extensive study of jazz and composition. Chris Studied under the tuition of some of the countries greatest teachers and performers including Greg Pickler (Sydney Conservatorium), Phillip Houghton( worldwide renowned classical guitar composer) and Robbie Varga (one of Australia’s Flamenco greats)

Chris currently leads his own Flamenco group Pena Flamenca who are one of the most vibrant and technical flamenco shows in the country. This is the only tablao in Sydney and has musicians from all over the country and the world putting in guest performances. Getting his groundings at one of the top flamenco studios in Sydney, Marina Tamayo’s Flamenco Australia studios, Chris works closely with many of the top and up and coming dancers that Sydney produce and is a vital part of the current and future Flamenco scene in Sydney.

Chris has performed at a string of major music festival across the country in multiple acts, often with headline performances in the world music group Azadoota. Here Chris pays alongside singer/percussionist Robin Zirwanda and oud virtuoso Ahmed Al-Karawi from Bagdad performing for crowds of up to 10000 people. Chris currently plays alongside performers from all over the world such as Peru, Mexico, Iraq, Malaysia and Spain and is established as a leading performer for world music scene in Australia.
