Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance), Trinity Grade 8 Jazz Saxophone (2010)
Daniel’s love for music has motivated him since he was 10 years old to learn and explore music of all genres. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Adelaide in late 2013 and looks to continue extending his knowledge and competence in all forms of music making. Daniel won the Helpmann Academy Jazz Award in 2012 for ‘Best Jazz Saxophone’ and is an experienced performer in Jazz and Contemporary styles. He can also teach clarinet and recorder as well as a variety of different musical styles including Blues, Rock, Latin and Classical.
Daniel teaches students to learn how to read music, however he also likes to teach by ear on a regular basis to develop student’s aural abilities. Daniel is very passionate about passing on knowledge to others and wants the best for all of his students so they can reap the same rewards from a musical education that he has.
