Daniel Purcell

My Name is a Daniel Purcell and I am a WAAPA student currently studying Sound engineering after doing a bachelor of music for 2 years also at WAAPA. I teach Electric/ Acoustic guitar inside and out. From the music theory to make your compositions come alive, to the knowledge of guitar tone and effects to match and mimic the sounds from your favourite songs. Along with the guitar as an instrument, I teach elements of songwriting as well as arranging that assist in the understanding of the guitar as apart of an ensemble and as a compositional tool.
I tailor my lessons for the student depending on their aspirations. I survey my students about their hopes for learning I.e. if they want to play metal or pop, or if they want to write their own songs or if they want to be able to shred effortlessly. My students learn what I deem relevant to succeeding in that area, but also enrich that knowledge with fresh ideas an perspectives to open their minds.
In short, I teach the guitar inside and out.
