Hello! My name is Dennis, and I am passionate about music and education.
Music has always been in my blood: My father was an opera singer and an oboist who lectured in Music History, while my mother was an English Literature teacher who played the piano and classical guitar. So it’s no surprise that these days my sister runs a music school and I am a guitar teacher.
I’ve taught all-ages ukulele classes in public libraries, guitar workshops for adults, violin classes at primary schools, and developed songwriting workshops for teenagers.
As for my own musical endeavours, I have an Associate Diploma in violin recital, compose music for short films, trailers and commercials, and studied Pop Music Analysis at university. I also once embarked on a songwriting project for which I wrote and recorded one song a day for 100 consecutive days.
In short, I love exploring all genres and styles of songwriting and music, and I have a lifelong commitment to creating responsive environments where students can flourish. My goal is to help you build a solid foundation so you can explore and enjoy music-making for life.
