Certificate of Performance (Piano) AMEB, Grade 7 (Singing) Trinity College London, Emma- Jane Pemberton Memorial trophy for Performing Arts (grade 12), Magna Cum Laude (grade 12), 3rd place for the Vocal section in the 2012 ACVC
I am 22 years old and music has been my life for as long as I remember. I was born in the UK and grew up in Townsville, Queensland. I began piano lessons at age 4 and continued into my late teens completing grades 1-8 in the AMEB syllabus and my Certificate of Performance. I started classical vocal training when I was 15. I was self taught prior. When I was 17 I completed my 7th grade Trinity College London Vocal exam. I developed a passion for classical singing (opera) and have won many competitions. In mid 2012 when I was only 17 I competed in the open vocal section in the Australian Concerto and Vocal Competition held in Townsville, adjudicated by Prof. Larry Sitsky. There were many competitors from all over the country and Europe in my section and I received 3rd place. Then, I took a gap year to work and auditioned for the Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne Conservatories of Music.
Fortunately, the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music gave me a first round offer which I accepted. I recently finished my undergraduate degree studying a Bachelor of Music (Vocal Performance) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
