ANZCA Piano Gr 8, AMEB Theory Gr 5
Having played guitar since high school, I’ve loved my guitars from the headstock to the protruding lead jack. My lessons often teach my students to understand the historical and cultural significance of the instrument, through exposure of different artists (mostly guitar gods and the people stuck on my walls) and songs which will rock your socks off!
The main ideal lesson I wish to impart forever with my students is to give them the ability to freely play guitar, improvise and write songs with it as I do! (It’s really fun!)
I also have 10+ years experience in playing piano and am willing to teach children and young adults who wish to learn for leisure. Piano is a great instrument to start learning music on as it focuses on hand coordination and also demands a great amount of discipline to learn both practicality of musicianship and the theoratical side of music.
My piano lessons involve learning how to play contemporary piano through old school classics and most importantly how to use your “ear” in learning and playing music.
I’ve had four years of teaching experience revolving around primary schools, music schools and private tutoring. I specialise in teaching children beginner guitar as I have done so for the past few years. I also have a working with childrens check (WWCC) if you’re looking to give your kids some lessons! However, I believe you can start guitar at any age, as long as you have the burning passion for it!
My certifications include: ANZCA Piano Gr 8, AMEB Theory Gr 5 and a burning passion for music.
