GD Allan

Teacher GD Allan teaches students to sing with the same comfortable, easily produced voice you use when you speak. This technique is modelled on classic singers of jazz, Motown, blues and popular styles. It feels completely natural and still allows expansion of range and tone with application of the speech level techniques.

This method is a training process. Through the use of appropriate song choice, technique, study and practice, singers develop a sense of comfort with their own voice, discovering their abilities and developing confidence when singing.

A digital vocal studio is used to record students. They can produce EPs, Demo CDs and actually hear their voice progress. This also provides a chronologue of their work.

GD has studied Jazz, Opera and World music and is a singer/songwriter having performed nationally and internationally for 19 years with bands in blues, funk, soul, pop, jazz, reggae/ska and electronic groups.
