Hana is currently working in Melbourne as a freelance composer, singer songwriter, principal conductor of women’s choir ‘The Rubies,’ and private singing and piano teacher. Achievements in composition include receiving the 2012 Esther Rofe Scholarship, awarded to a female student who demonstrates promise in the field of composition, second place in the Chamber Strings of Melbourne Young Composer of the year competition (2007), a public performance by ANAM of her piece ‘Levitas’ for brass ensemble at Federation Square, the inclusion of her song ‘Mother’ on Rock Industry’s CD ‘Hua Abut’ for women in East Timor resulting in a performance at Parliament House (2010), and the completion of her bachelor degree in music at the Melbourne Conservatorium in 2012. In 2014 The Ballarat Symphony Orchestra performed her Piano Concerto as part of their June concert. 2013 saw Hana employed as choral and music director for BLOC’s junior production of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland. As a result, in 2014 Hana was employed at the Ballarat Centre of Music as one of the BCMA’s Futures in Performance coaches and music director for their mid-year production of You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown.
Hana has been performed in restaurants and wineries for both corporate and private functions, with a vast repertoire of eclectic music; from solos and duos to big band. Today Hana has over 100 original songs for pop band, choral, jazz and a instrumental works to her credit, most of which have been written for and performed by her and other ensembles.
