Bachelor of Music with Honours in Performance (Queensland Conservatorium), Associate of Music Award (AMEB)
Hannah has been teaching for 6 years in the Brisbane area. She studied music performance at the Queensland Conservatorium, graduating with Honours in 2008. In her degree, she not only achieved performance excellence (she is the recipient of many awards, including winner of the Carson Flute Prize in 2010) but also academic excellence – especially in Music Theory & Aural studies.
She now teaches privately from her home in West End. She also runs a music workshop for the students of the Mater Hospital Special School, has been flute tutor and assistant flute tutor to the UQ flute class, at the SunWater & Stanwell Winter Music School in Rockhampton, and the Stanwell Youth Music Education Festival in Cairns, and is an administrator & assistant at many flute classes, workshops & events around the Brisbane area.
Hannah may be heard performing around Brisbane with several professional ensembles including Kupka’s Piano, Golden Orb, Clocked Out, Random Overtones, Sounding Out & MAC. She specialises in performing and instruction of new music (fun things like extended techniques and wacky sounds).
Her general prices are $40 for half an hour, $50 for 45mins or $60 for an hour (private lessons). Discounts are available per student for group bookings, and in extenuating circumstances. She tutors secondary school and tertiary students in theory, aural & musicianship for $25 per half hour (must be studying in a recognised course).
Hannah holds a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
