Bachelor of Music (Classical Performance), AMEB Amus. A, Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Senior Secondary)
I have recently moved back to Darwin after studying in Adelaide for 4 years for my Bachelor of Music (Classical Performance) from the Elder Conservatorium of Music, University of Adelaide. I have also completed my Amus. A in 2003. I am currently a senior secondary music teacher at Darwin High School.
I have played the piano seriously most of my life and have I extensive experience in teaching and performing.
My past teachers include the well known Quynh Giao Hoffmann in Darwin, and Head of Keyboard of Elder Conservatorium, Lucinda Collins who is also an Internationally Acclaimed concert pianist.
I am fun and friendly with children and adults alike without compromising strict and professional teaching habits. I am very passionate about teaching music to others and thrive on bringing out the best abilities of my students. It is very important that my students enjoy learning to play the piano. I will accommodate my teaching to any skill level and to the students’ individual needs.
I also have recommendation letters from my past teachers, students and their parents.
Lessons can be 30 minutes ($40), 45 minutes ($60), or 60 minutes ($80) weekly. Extra time beyond 60 minutes may be given to advanced students or to those who require it. Students aged 7 and under are recommended to have 2× 30 minute lessons per week. Adults are recommended to take at least 45 minute lessons.
Lessons are held in my home studio in Alawa (see address below).
