BMus, Grade 8 Violin AMEB (High Distinction), Grade 5 Theory AMEB (Distinction)
Jacqueline began playing the Violin at the age of 8. Her initial Violin studies began in Taiwan with Mr Duan-Cheng Chang where she learnt the Suzuki method. However, when she moved to Brisbane, she continued her studies with Mr Simon Dobrenko and Mr Stephen Chin. Jacqueline has previously been involved in various ensembles such as Queensland Youth Orchestra 3, BGGS chamber and symphony orchestras, Conservatorium Symphony Orchestras and the Queensland Youth Symphony Orchestra.
She is currently studying Third year at the Queensland Conservatorium. Jacqueline participated in the Open Strings Prize at Brisbane Girls Grammar and was awarded Second Place. She also had the opportunity to perform as a soloist at the Annual Brisbane Grammar School Senior Strings Festival.
Offering clear, structured and fun violin lessons for beginners to intermediate levels. Jacqueline is fluent in both Mandarin and English and is happy to teach according to your needs. Her goal with students is to not only show them the most functional strategies and fundamental areas in tone production, ease of playing and technical facility but to guide the player towards making their own artistic and expressive impact in performance and practise.
