My name is Jacqueline, and I am available to teach in both violin performance and music theory. I have graduated from a Bachelor of Music (Violin Performance). at the University of Queensland, which I studied as a dual programme with the Bachelor of Arts in Ancient History.
I firmly believe that each student deserves individual attention, and tailor every student’s lesson according to their needs and personal traits. All new students receive their first lesson free.
I am currently the Principal Second Violin in the Queensland Youth Symphony for the second consecutive year, and will hold this position on the QYO International Tour in November 2017. I have extensive solo, chamber and orchestral experience as part of my studies, experiences in the Australian Youth Orchestra programmes in both 2015 and 2016 and as a freelance musician. Having studied under Adam Chalabi and Spiros Rantos during my time at university, I have extensive performance experience and completed all theory, aural and conducting courses for my degree.
I have been trained in the A.M.E.B. syllabus, and have completed tertiary Music Theory courses with Distinctions. I have experience in Primary School Workshops and hold a current Blue Card.
