Bachelor of Music: Integrated Studies - University of Adelaide
Classically trained guitarist who plays a variety of Classical music, tango, blues, rock, metal also flamenco, Spanish guitar and Jazz, finger picking style and plectrum techniques.
I have studied music since the age of ten learning from various teachers across Australia and Asia. I have completed a Bachelor of Music from the Elder Conservatorium of Music at Adelaide University specialising in performance and composition learning from Oliver Fartach-Naini.
I have taught at several schools in and around Adelaide and Darwin, teach privately from my home studio and do home visits. I am currently teaching at 2 schools in Darwin, The Essington School and O’loughlin College.
I have undertaken several master classes with established performers and composers including Vincent Lindsey-Clark, Richard Charlton, Shingo Fujii, Raffaele Agostino and others. I was a member of the Elder Conservatorium Guitar Ensemble for 5 years and have performed with this group and others interstate, overseas and at the Adelaide International Guitar Festival twice where my original compositions were performed.
I have performed at various venues and events in and around the Adelaide and enjoy composing for classical guitar, progressive metal and various other genres and instruments. I am registered with the Australian Performing Right Association (APRA) and have had my original compositions performed interstate and overseas.
In my spare time I enjoy playing rock, progressive metal, blues and Spanish guitar music.
