I offer one on one lessons for playing the double bass. I am a jazz double bassist, and teach an array of concepts with regard to the role of the bass in jazz music. These include the fundamentals such as:

Bass line construction in both swing, and Latin feels
Sight-reading Concepts
Ear Training
Sound and Tone Production
Jazz Theory and Harmony

I conduct my lessons at my place in Monash. The student only needs to bring their instrument. An amp, lead and tuner are provided. If the students bass doesn’t have a pick-up we’ll play acoustically.
