I have completed a Bachelor of Music at Monash University, majoring in flute performance. I am currently studying a Master of Teaching, due for completion in 2017.
I am a published composer with Wirripang Ptd Ltd – for more information please follow the link to my website above!
I have been playing the flute since 2001 and have much experience playing in a vast range of ensembles, including concert bands, orchestras, music theatre ensembles, chamber music ensembles, flute ensembles and stage bands. I have also done a lot of solo performance and completed VCE in 2012 studying both Music Performance (solo) and Music Styles and Composition.
I aim to make music making and learning enjoyable, particularly for the beginner, but also have the skills to help develop the technique, tone and overall performance of a student wanting to complete exams, perform in concerts or competitions.
Lessons will have a focus on the skills required to learn and enjoy playing your chosen instrument, but will also incorporate some theory instruction that will be tailored for every student and their skill base.
I teach flute for all ability levels, as well as beginner piano and recorder. I offer separate theory classes that are suitable for any musician or music enthusiast, from beginner to VCE. These lessons are tailored to the individual, or can be structured around a set course or exam such as VCE or AMEB.
