A graduate of the Victorian Opera and Melbourne Conservatorium of Music Master of Opera Performance, Jeremy Kleeman is beginning to establish himself as one of Australia’s leading young baritones. In 2015 he performed Teobaldo in Faramondo for the Brisbane Baroque and appears as Lord Valton in I puritani, Jonas Fogg in Sweeney Todd, and features in Seven Deadly Sins for Victorian Opera. In 2014 Jeremy won the Welsh Male Choir Singer of the Year, and appeared on stage as Colline in La bohème for Opera New England, and for Victorian Opera Marchese d’Obigny in La traviata and Rapunzel’s Prince in Into the Woods, the latter for which he was commended by ArtsHub for his “rich, dark chocolate baritone”. In 2013 Jeremy portrayed Albert the Pudding to critical acclaim in the Green Room Award winning world premiere The Magic Pudding – The Opera. Jeremy is very grateful to be supported by the Joseph Sambrook Opera Scholarship with the Melba Opera Trust.
