General Details

AMusA (Associate in Music Diploma) in piano performance, LMusA (Licentiate in Music Diploma) in piano performance

Hi! My name is Jonathan.

I am a Music/Law student at Monash University and I teach both piano and music theory at a range of levels and styles. I’ve had over 3 years’ experience experience as both a music teacher and a private tutor. I’ve also taught both children and adults in the areas of Classical piano, piano for leisure, music theory, as well as contemporary and popular music, from beginner/preliminary level to AMusA. As a classically trained and highly qualified pianist, I have a thorough understanding of technical and musical aspects involved in piano playing. I am able to help students to develop strong and proper technique, as well as musical knowledge and performance skills, in a productive and enjoyable manner.

I am also experienced in piano accompaniment for instrumental music exams.

I currently hold a valid Working With Children Check.

Piano lessons are $25/half-hour or $50/hour, and will be held at my home in Mount Waverley, on a beautiful Estonia grand piano.

Please enquire by email if you are interested or have any further questions and I will get back to you promptly.
