Bachelor of Music (Performance), Master of Music (Performance Teaching)
Kathryn Cooper is currently completing a Masters of Music Performance Teaching specialising in Saxophone at the University of Melbourne. She currently teaches instrumental woodwind lessons at St Andrews Christian College and Yeshivah-Beth Rivkah College. She has previously taught at McKinnon Secondary College, Dandenong High School, Glen Iris Primary School, Toorak Primary School and St. Monica’s Primary school.
Kathryn is a professional saxophonist and frequently performs around Australia. She has studied under Barry Cockcroft, Shannon Ebeling, Jo Lallo, Josh Hyde, Ian Godffrey and is currently learning from Tarko Sibbel.
From beginners to professional levels, she teaches students fundamental skills, while also helping improve their expression and musical ability in performing pieces. Lessons will be fun, informative but most importantly they will be catered for each individual student. You will be able to learn a range of styles from classical to contemporary, as well as play any genres that interests you as a musician.
Lessons are usually conducted in my home studio, but travelling to your home can be possible.
I look forward to working with you!
