BMus (Perf), BMus Perf (Hons)
I am an oboist who has gained experience teaching over the course of many years. I completed my Bachelor of Music degree and Bachelor of Music Honours degree at the Victorian College of the Arts, Faculty of the University of Melbourne.
I have been teaching both privately and in the secondary school system for 4 years, including guiding students through VCE and AMEB exams. I currently also teach double reed ensembles in a secondary school context. My lessons are tailored to the individual needs of my students, whether they be assessment or leisure based. I have a valid Working With Children check, and am in the process of joining the Victorian Music Teacher’s Association.
Students of all ages and skill levels are welcome. I place great importance on aural awareness, and, as such, demonstrate on my instrument regularly within lessons. I am also willing to travel short distances for lessons within the eastern suburbs, however it would be appreciated if students outside of this area could attend lessons at my house.
