Hello music lovers, my name is Laine Loxlea-Danann. I am a multi faceted creative. Music and the creative arts are my absolute passion and fills my life. I work full time as an arts industry practitioner, vocal artist, performer, vocal and performance coach, song writer/ composer and musical director.
Music and singing has the ability to up lift and enrich us like little else I have experienced. It is my continuous pleasure to be involved with and surrounded by music.I hope you will join me to celebrate your love of music.
Laine Loxlea-Danann has had a diverse and highly successful career in the music industry working nationally and internationally. Laine graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in 1989 and then again in 2015 attaining her Master in Music Studies. She is currently enrolled in a Doctorate of Music and has worked professionally in the music industry as a performer, producer, musical director, composer, and voice/singing and performance craft coach for 26 years. Currently, Laine has the honour of working as a sessional singing teacher for the Queensland Conservatorium in the Musical Theatre department, the Jazz department and the Vocal Pedagogy Department. Laine has had an eclectic career professionally; it has included everything from opera, jazz, music theatre and pop. Laine has worked with companies such as Queensland Theatre Company, La Boîte Theatre Company, The Judith Wright Centre, The Queensland Performing Arts Centre, The Queensland Folk Federation, Musica Viva, The Queensland Music Festival, The Brisbane Festival, The Metro Arts Centre, The Bicentennial – Voices and Visions, The West End Theatre Company, Q150 Shed Tour Festival and The Brisbane Powerhouse. In 2001 Laine was invited to perform in Italy at the Tolentino Theatre as part of a relief concert for volcano victims. She also has a Double Diploma in Vocational Education and Training and Training Design and Development and held the position of Head of Music at the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts. Thriving on music, theatre and the creative arts, Laine is committed to working diversely, creatively and with a song in her heart.
