“If a student is inspired, captivated and encouraged by their instructor, then they will take to music a lot quicker. Thanks Justin for creating a comfortable and supportive environment for my child to learn. He looks forward to his lesson each week and especially likes how you make learning fun.”

I have taught guitar and music theory at my own music school for young people – Leaders of Rock – for one and a half years. I teach private and group guitar lessons, specialising in acoustic and electric guitar. In the holidays, a team of us run group music workshops, exploring songwriting, technique and music history. I have experience teaching primary and secondary students, but can teach across all ages.
My music education includes studying for VCE Music: Solo Performance, where I specialised in jazz and blues guitar. I was the Dux of Music for 2010, with a score of 36, and furthered my studies of songwriting in Seattle, WA.
Since then, I have become an arts teacher, and worked as an English teacher in Hangzhou, China (2013). I currently teach arts and languages at Korumburra Secondary College; but teach private guitar lessons at my studio in Doncaster on the weekends.
From taking lessons with me, you can expect a fun, hardworking teacher, who employs progressive pedagogy, inspires creativity, and delivers results.
Any queries relating to weekday lessons are also welcome, as a team of us teach after school hours during the week.
Please feel free to call me on 0424 496 550 if you have any questions!
