Winner of many awards and finalist in the Cardiff Singer Of The World Competition.
Professional Opera Singer since 1995 having sung for Opera Australia, The Victorian State Opera and Opera Queensland: Roles include : Mimi – La Boheme. Suor Angelica. Nedda – Pagliacci. Micaela- Carmen. Donna Elvira- Don Giovanni. Leila – Les Pecheurs Des Perles and Tosca.
Numerous performances with The Sydney Symphony, Melbourne Symphony, Tasmanian Symphony, Canberra Symphony and recently the HongKong Symphony and Macau Symphony Orchestras.
RICHARD ALEXANDER – BASS
B.Mus. FTCL, LTCL, Grad Dip (Ed), Working with children certificate.
Winner of many prestigious awards including the Joan Sutherland award, the Remy Martin, the Lyric Opera of Queensland prize and Vienna State Opera Award, English born Richard Alexander studied at the Queensland Conservatorium and with Trinity College London. He debuted as Antonio in Le Nozze Di Figaro for the Wiener Staatsoper in the same year.
Richard performs regularly with Opera Australia in roles including Osmin, Figaro, Argante, Sarastro, Colline, Mustafa, Don Basillio, Bottom, Don Magnifico, Leporello and Mikado.
Richard has performed concerts with many leading orchestras including; Australian Chamber Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony, Sydney Symphony, Sydney Philharmonia and the Drottingholm Baroque Ensemble Stockholm.
