Lucy completed a Bachelor of Music (Performance) at Sydney Conservatorium in 2010. In 2014-15 she completed the Professional Performance Program at the Australian National Academy of Music on full scholarship.
In 2013 Lucy toured to South America with the Sydney North Chamber Ensemble as principal cellist to play in the International American Cantata Festival. She has also been involved in various orchestral and chamber music training programs such as the Academy of Chamber Music Performance, Ironwood Emerging Artist Programs as well as Australian Youth Orchestra National Music camps. In 2012 Lucy was a selected as a finalist for the concerto competition run by the Australian International Symphony Orchestra Institute.
She has participated in masterclasses with Thorleif Théeden, Marko Ylönen and Pierre Doumenge. In 2011 Lucy was awarded a Big Brother Scholarhip which enabled her to travel to the UK for lessons and to attend summer music festivals.
Lucy is a keen chamber musician and is a member of the Kendall Quartet. Since forming in early 2014, they have performed at a variety of functions and can be booked for weddings, special events and recording sessions in Melbourne.
She is a passionate teacher and has taught at a range of schools in Sydney and Melbourne. She is currently a Teaching Artist with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’s education program, ‘The Pizzicato Effect’ and ‘Crashendo’ at Laverton College. She is also a cello tutor at Haileybury.
