Amus-A, Masters of Primary Teaching
I have been playing piano for 24 years. I was trained classically by Nehama Patkin and I was brought up by the Suzuki method. I was later trained by Stephen McCyntire during my studies at the Melbourne Conservatory of music, before finishing my Bachelor of Arts and going onto study a Masters of Primary Teaching at the University of Melbourne. I acquired my Amus-A (AMEB) in 2003, and in 2004 I was placed in the VCE Top Class, in which I was scored in the top 5 students who studied music performance as part of their matriculation. In 2005 I accompanied the Vox Syngery choir, which is apart of Melbourne Youth Music.
I teach the Suzuki method for piano and I am happy to teach children as young as four.
I am also a primary teacher and I employ different pedagogical methods in my piano teaching.
