Bachelor of Fine Arts (Contemporary Music) VCA 2014
I have four years experience teaching children aged four to adults aged 40.
I am advertising because four of my students have just been accepted in to VCA, Monash, and Melbourne Uni music courses and have since dropped lessons with myself. I am looking to replace these students with four more hopefully long-term students.
I currently compose music for advertising and arrangements for bands around Australia and the States. I also direct and compose shows with dancers and visual artists.
Subjects I can cover within lessons include:
General theory, musicianship and composition
Composition in film, animation and advertising
Sound and technology (how sound works, how hardware works and what to use both analog and digital, foley, sound effects)
Digital editing, sampling and production (various DAW including Ableton, Logic, Cubase, ProTools, CoolEditPro)
My prices are $30 for half an hour and $55 for an hour. Lesson times are quite flexible and I regularly teach quite late at night or early in the morning if there are any last minute changes or if students have free time in their school/work time tables.
I am Brunswick based in my home studio, but have in the past held lessons at the VCA in the city for catch-up classes or classes where not much equipment is needed. (Eg. theory or clarinet lessons)
