Matt Moras is the guitar teacher at Thornbury Primary School, Solway Primary School, and Universal School of Music, and is now offering lessons from his private home studio.
Matt has over 10 years experience teaching the guitar, bass guitar, and piano. He strongly believes in a wholistic approach to teaching music, addressing and developing instrumental technique, aural skills, theory, composition, reading and improvising skills with his students. Matt’s experience in teaching ensembles ranges from duets to larger groups including school bands.
“I am a very passionate and dedicated teacher, and passing on the knowledge and the beauty I have found in this art form is very important to me. I am in turn always inspired when I see my students get excited about their own developing skills, especially when they begin to explore music more independently and follow their own path and passion.”
Matt Moras has studied music for many years, both privately and at university, and has had the pleasure of learning from some of the greatest musicians Melbourne has to offer including Stephen Magnusson, Doug DeVries and Tony Gould.
Lessons are held in Matt’s private home studio in the northern suburbs, and Matt also travels in some areas to provide lessons at clients homes.
