Bachelor in Music Peformance (Hons), completing graduate diploma in music education

Violin lessons for ages 4 and up, all experience levels!

My name is Megan, I am a classically trained violinist and soon to be qualified secondary school teacher specializing in classroom music and instrumental music. I began studying a Bachelor of Classical Performance at WAAPA in 2010, and I returned last year from Hobart having finished my Honours degree in Classical Performance at UTAS. My passion for music and performance has given me opportunities to travel and play in numerous solo recitals, ensembles and orchestras. I have been a violin teacher since 2011, teaching at schools, music schools, and privately. Through my teaching and experiences as a violinist, teaching has become an important passion of mine, for which I want to share my love and experience to positively affect the young (and young at heart!) experiences and life journeys.

I have experience teaching young children (4yr and above) to adults, and complete beginners to 8th grade level, catering for the individual student’s needs, levels and ambitions. My aim in every lesson is to foster my student’s passion while creating a fun, inspiring and encouraging environment.

Teaching from a variety of curriculum’s including Suzuki and AMEB, I am more than happy to adapt to whatever the student/schools requirements are, with a focus on goal setting and planning to achieve the students desired outcome. I have a working with childrens check and police clearance.
