B.A., Grad.Dip.Ed., Member of the Australian Music Examinations Board, Registered with the Teachers' Registration Board of South Australia
Why not come and try a complimentary lesson with a really enthusiastic, qualified teacher.
I have 20 years teaching experience in South Australia in public and private schools and 6 years teaching experience overseas. I now teach soley from my own studio, teaching adult lessons during the day and school aged learners in the late afternoon/evening. The age of my students currently ranges from 5 years of age to 75.
I genuinely enjoy teaching and keep up to date with the latest teaching resources and methodologies. I am mindful of the needs, and desired goals of each individual student and develop curriculum based around achieving those personal goals.
Lessons are offered in my fully equipped home studio in Dernancourt. Students learn on a Grotrian Steinweg Grand Piano, Yamaha Grand piano and a Kawaii digital upright piano. All instruments are beautifully maintained. Parents of younger students are encouraged to sit in on lessons as this helps us to work closely together to achieve a really solid and secure start in music education.
I encourage the AMEB exam curriculum although it is by no means compulsary. My students consistently achieve extremely high results in the AMEB exams.
I like students to develop a thorough understanding of all genres of music including jazz, popular music, broadway and screen music not just classical styles. I have found that students learn best when they play music which inspires them or allows them to express something of themselves.
Please come along and have a try or just call or text to find out more. The ability to play an instrument is something that will broaden the mind and the heart for a lifetime.
Lessons are offered Monday to Friday, last lessons ending at 8:30pm, and Saturdays from 9:30 onwards.
