Michael is an experienced piano performer who has won numerous prizes and scholarships in Australia, including the Melbourne Recital Centre’s Richard Mills Bach Prize, state winner of Yamaha Australia’s Youth Piano Competition and most prestigiously the 2009 3MBS Radio’s Performer of the Year among many others. Michael has also performed many concertos with orchestra over a number of years and has been broadcast on 3MBS and ABC radio.
He attained his Licentiate Diploma for piano with distinction and was awarded the Victorian Music Teacher’s Kault Prize for most outstanding diploma candidate of the year. Michael also completed VCE Music Performance units 3/4 and as a result of his performance was invited to play at the VCE Top Class showcase for that year.
Having taught students from the age of 7, Michael is able to provide an engaging and patient environment to support students at any level – whether they are complete beginners or at a more advanced level. Experience with not only piano tuition but also academic tutoring in the past has enabled him to develop the skills needed to quickly relate and communicate with students.
He is able to teach piano to complete beginners, people who want to learn for leisure, those preparing for AMEB exams and those preparing for VCE music performance.
