A professional musician, composer, tutor and industry type, Milica has been active in the Australian music scene for over 15 years. She picked up guitar at age 14 and moved to bass two years later. Milica graduated from Newtown High School of the Performing Arts in Sydney with the school medallion for Music before continuing on to complete a Bachelor of Arts (Music) Honours degree in 2000 from the University of Western Sydney, majoring in Composition and Performance.
Milica (pronounced Mi-li-tsa) has appeared on recordings and toured nationally and internationally with many bands including national MusicOz Award winners Extended Family. She has also appeared on radio and TV (X Factor), played such festivals as Woodford Folk Festival, The Great Escape and many more, and performed at such venues as The Basement and the Sydney Opera House.
As a bass and guitar tutor, Milica has taught at various high schools, primary schools and music schools as well as privately and has taught the A.M.E.B CPM course for both guitar and bass and beginners through to HSC (VCE) level students. She holds a current Victorian Working With Children Check
2010 saw Milica on the bass playing such venues as Oxford Art Factory and Spectrum with Ivy Leagues’ latest signing Wons Phreely and supporting acts such as Little Red, The Boat People, Dan Kelly and Jinja Safari.
In early 2011 she moved to Melbourne to follow her passion for music. She is an experienced and highly regarded teacher with specialist skills in teaching children.
