Natsuko Mineghishi (M Mus in Contemporaray Music – Amsterdam Con, M Mus in Peformance- Melb Uni and B Mus (hon) – Melbourne Uni) – coloratura soprano, offers singing lessons for all ages.

The studio is situated in South Yarra, 5 minute walk from the Prahran or South Yarra stations.

With a depth of understanding in physiology and mechanism of voice production, Natsuko’s singing lessons are energetic, easy to understand and fun! You will share the joy and the art of singing every time you enter the studio! Students’ personal taste as well as suitability are highly respected. The main focus is to produce easy and resonating sound from your own body and deliver what you want to express at ease!

Also highly experienced in preparing students for AMEB Exams, Trinity Exams, Trinity Rockschool Exams, Eisteddfod Music Competitions, VCE and simply for joy and improvement in singing. Areas of singing: classical, pop or musical theatre.

All the students are given performance opportunities at students’ concerts and/or charity concerts.

Typical lessons contain: – Thorough examination of your speaking manner, which affects your vocalization (suitable exercises will be given to each individual) – Exercises to build awareness of your standing and singing posture which greatly help you to make efficient usage of your instrument (your body!) – Warm up exercises to establish musical flexibility, effective usage of your jaw, tongue and facial muscles – Breathing exercises to let go of unnecessary tension and maximize effective voice delivery with minimum effort! – Suitable repertoire selection for individual needs and their enjoyment! – Style, language and articulation of the music you deal with – Guidance in expression and presentation (sometimes involving choreography) – Specific preparation for exams and competitions (if applicable)
