Nicholas Turnbull is a passionate and dedicated musician with over 15 years of experience in piano and vocal music and arts. Originally from Townsville, he moved to Brisbane in 2010 to further his music study and has completed a Bachelor of Music Majoring in Vocal Performance (2015) under the tutelage of Shaun Brown at The University of Queensland.
Being a young teacher allows Nicholas to engage with his students on an equal level, and they love his kind nature and the fun he includes in his lessons. Nick loves to see his students progress, whether they are learning for fun or to sit exams.
Prior to his study in Brisbane, Nicholas studied many other musical and art related courses including Piano, Violin and Speech and Drama. He has completed Grade 8 AMEB Piano for Leisure, Grade 8 AMEB Speech and Drama, Grade 5 AMEB Theory. He was a regular entry in the local eisteddfod and received the Townsville Vocal Bursary Twice. Nicholas also currently teaches piano as part at Yeronga State School, where he teaches beginner to intermediate piano technique as well as musicianship and theory skills.
