BMus (Perf.) (Hons) Uni of Melbourne
Nick has been studying music for 16 years, and playing saxophone for 10 years. In November 2010, he will complete his BMus (Hons.) (Performance) at the University of Melbourne, having studied under Michael Lichnovsky and Ian Godfrey.
Nick has performed an extensive range of solo repertoire, and has ensemble experience across a range of styles (orchestral, wind band, saxophone quartet, saxophone ensemble, big band & smaller jazz groups). He currently leads the saxophone section in the University of Melbourne Big Band, and plays in the pop group Cacophony Society.
Nick has been teaching the saxophone for four years. He currently teaches saxophone at Coburg West Primary School. He is able to teach soprano, alto and tenor saxophones.
Nick has studied Music Theory for 12 years, including the AMEB and VCE systems. He has studied Counterpoint, Harmony, Orchestration and Jazz theory at a tertiary level.
