Rowden Kolone is the Musical Director for Niiche School of Singing (NSS) and is an accomplished singer/songwriter/musician/producer. He first began singing in a gospel choir called SEYC in 1996 where he then went on to be the co-musical director. During this time he joined an A Cappella vocal group known then as Higher Ground (HG) but later changed their name to “Daverse” who appeared on TV shows “Star Struck” and “The X-Factor” making it to the Top 15 in the groups section. He also auditioned for the first “Australian Idol” series and made the Top 100 hundred and followed it up by auditioning again in 2009 which saw him make the final 40 and just missing out on the Top 24. In 2012 he auditioned again for The X-factor series and made it into the 10 ten over 25’s in Australia. In 2014 he signed with a major US record label and is currently recording his first release single.
He has performed with many renowned Australian artists such as Gary Pinto (CDB), Abby Joyce (Jabulani), James Morrisson (Trumpeter), Carmen Hendricks, Rebekah Mendoza, Disco Montego, Percy Robinson, Natalie Gauci (Winner of Aus-Idol 2007) Random (Winners of X-Factor 2005), Amanda Grafanakis (XFactor 2010) and Hayley Teal (XFactor 2010) just to name a few. In 2004 he performed and sang for model and best-selling crime author Tara Moss on her wedding day.
In 2005 He joined “Escapade” a band specializing in corporate events and weddings. Today Escapade is one of Melbourne’s most successful corporate bands delivering a very high standard of performance and entertainment. In 2009 and 2010 Escapade received two nominations for the “Best Wedding Corporate Band in Australia” at the Australian Bridal Industry Awards (ABIA). He is considered by many in the Music Industry as one of the most naturally undiscovered gifted singers and is committed to sharing and passing on his knowledge and love of music and singing through NSS. He is also a member of The Australian Performing Rights Association (APRA).
