AMusA, Working With Children, Bachelor of Music (Melbourne - Conservatorium of Music)
Oscar is a 4th year cello student enrolled in a Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree majoring in Performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. He has been immersed in music from a very early age playing the cello, piano and singing in choirs.
Oscar is a dedicated music educator who aims to unlock the musical potential in all of his students. Through his experiences in ensemble/solo playing, teaching, orchestral management and music leadership; a love and passion for music has been manufactured. This passion extends into lessons by using a blend of technical, musical and scholarly tuition. He is also trained in classical and contemporary piano accompanied by an extensive knowledge of musical theory.
Oscar started to learn the cello when he was in Year 2 at primary school and has continued to pursue his love for cello since then. He is currently actively engaged in orchestral (Melbourne Conservatorium Orchestra) and chamber ensembles (piano quartets, string quartets and piano trios) where he enjoys playing music that ranges from baroque to contemporary Australian works.
