My name is Patrick Vu and I am a classical guitarist studying a double degree of Music and Commerce at the University of Western Australia with a major in guitar performance. I have 3 years teaching experience in both contemporary and classical guitar technique and have guided many students with a wide ranges of age and abilities.
I have achieved a mean score of 78% for the practical component of my music studies and am currently a recipient of the Wesley Mission Perth Music Scholarships, which is awarded to a selection of UWA musicians on the basis of academic merit and musical ability.
I have studied with a number of distinguished teachers such as John Casey, Eddie Roberts, Kevin Frasier, Johnathan Paget, and Craig Ogden and through this journey, as well as my own experience in guitar instructing, I have developed a method of teaching which seeks to open students to the joy of music and reach their full musical potential.
