From his long experience as a lecturer in composition (specialising in music technology) and as a practicing composer, Peter Mcilwain is able to provide the highest standard in music ethnology tuition available in Melbourne. He is uniquely placed to offer tuition in most forms of music technology from MIDI sequencing to advance digital signal processing. Peter is a expert programmer in Max/MSP and Processing and has received many commissions for multimedia work including works for the Melbourne and Scienceworks Museums. He is also the co-designer of the composition software Nodal that is now being used around the world and was for 5 years the President of the Australiasian Computer Music Association.

If you have a good internet connection teaching can be done over the internet using Skype. This can be done using file sharing and via the ability to present files on screen.
