B.Mus (Adelaide, M.Mus (Sydney)
Professional Violin Academy first opened in 2010 as a small violin studio in the southern suburbs of Sydney. In December 2014, the Academy will move to Adelaide (the hometown of Director, Madeline Procopio) and open its doors to new students wanting to learn the violin.
During the five years the Academy was open in Sydney, Ms. Procopio taught a total number of 58 students who studied a combination of violin, piano and theory at the Academy.

- Students who participated in theory tuition from grades one – four received a score of above 90% on all their AMEB examinations – A selection of students performed at Bupa Retirement Centre’s located in Sydney – During the five years the Academy was open in Sydney, Ms. Procopio has enrolled a total number of 68 students through AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board). Grades varied from preliminary to grade 8 however all students received a B or above in their scores – Recently in 2014, a 10-year-old student received an A+ for her 8th grade practical violin examination – Ms. Procopio also created the Professional Violin Academy’s Chamber Orchestra. The chamber orchestra consisted of 15 students who performed at the Hurstville Art Gallery – Most of PVA students are part of the Sydney Youth Orchestra – Many students participated in the St. George Eisteddfod receiving many prizes in their sections. – Students have regularly attended ‘home concerts’ and ‘games nights’ – Ms. Procopio also taught many adult students and very young children
